Linda Kramer, DNP, APRN, PMHNP-BC (Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner)
Linda Kramer is a board certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner who earnedher doctoral degree from Rush University’s College of Nursing and her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Aurora University. Linda also holds a master’s degree in health care services/concentration in wellness promotion with an emphasis in nutrition and she has received specialized training in Holistic Nursing, HeartMath, and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction. She has been a nurse for 25 years, has 15 years of experience as a psychiatric nurse, and has worked in the hospital, school, home health, and community settings.
As a psychiatric nurse practitioner, Linda provides evidence-based treatment to children, adolescents, and adults with a wide variety of conditions, including but not limited to ADHD, autism spectrum, depression, anxiety, OCD, and bipolar spectrum disorders. She conducts psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses per the DSM-5, and orders lab tests and prescribes psychiatric medications if needed. Linda’s practice is grounded in the Bio-Psycho-Social model, Holistic Nursing, and Lifestyle Medicine perspectives. In addition to standard treatment with psychotropic medications and psychotherapy, Linda works closely with patients and families to develop individualized treatment plans that include lifestyle medicine interventions which research has demonstrated optimize outcomes and help patients achieve their physical and mental health goals.
