After earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Northern Illinois University [NIU], Patty worked with pediatric and obstetric patients in hospital and office settings. She eventually returned to NIU and earned a Master of Science degree in Family and Child Studies with a specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy.Patty joined Horizons in 2012. She strives to provide a safe, non- judgmental space in which individuals, couples, and families can feel validated while learning how to manageany challenges they may be facing. Among the approaches Patty uses in therapy include Solution- focused therapy, Cognitive- Behavioral therapy, and John Gottman’s Principles
