Dr. Susan M. Olesch, PsyD
For some, the thought of therapy can be intimidating. However, finding the "right fit" in a client/therapist relationship is essential to sharing your feelings and overcoming your fears. In a safe, positive environment you can accomplish your goals and move towards a better, happier life. I promote an atmosphere of acceptance, no matter what you are experiencing -- anxiety, depression, stress over life transitions, fear or shame, sharing traumatic events, or relationship issues.
I graduated with a doctorate in Clinical Psychology from The Adler School of Psychology in 1994. My focus over the years has been on individual, marital, and family therapy. I also taught graduate psychology at Roosevelt University for several years. I am a member of the American Psychological Association, and I am licensed as a Clinical Psychologist in the states of Indiana and Illinois. I have had my own practice for 25 years and am now practicing at Horizons Behavioral Health where I am continuing to work with adults of all ages, couples, relationship issues, trauma, depression, anxiety, and stress.
I believe that each client is unique. One size does not fit all. Know that you are in a safe space and will be treated with respect and empathy. I employ many different modalities in therapy. My focus incorporates Person Centered, Psychodynamic and Emotion Centered Therapy (EFT). You deserve the best life possible. Together we can make that happen.
